The RF Scan Tool is a real time Cycle Count / Inventory Check that is driven solely off a scanning device. This tool enables a user to start a Count by walking up to any Bin Location(s), scan all of the contents, and trigger the completion sequence (“DONE”) all from the scanning device. *Please note that Inventory Account is not taken into consideration for the reconciliation of a Bin*.

Once you’ve selected ‘Cycle Count’ from the scanning device, you will see the following screen showing you which Client you will be scanning against (“1”), the Cycle Count Master ID (“224”), and the User ID (“pj-uni10”).

Rule: The scan tool identifies a cycle count by each unique instance of the User ID and the Client Code.

The user can begin scanning the Bin Location, Product Code, and Quantity.

Rule: The user must enter the total qty for each Product Code for each Bin Location scanned. Attempts to scan the same Bin Location and Product Code will be treated as a duplicate scan and therefore rejected.

When the user has completed scanning and is ready to perform the reconciliation process, the user enters "DONE" for the Bin.

If successful, the user will receive a message to the scanning device that looks like this.

If unsuccessful and there is a discrepancy, the user will see the following screen which also provides the Master Cycle Count ID so the user can go to a terminal and print the discrepancy report.

Rule: Once a Bin Location is included in the count, the entire contents of that Bin must be entered or there will be discrepancies for any Inventory not counted.
